Welcome to a Calmer Space!

The Society of Illustrators is excited to partner with CalmerCon NYC to introduce a Calmer Space. A Calmer Space is thoughtfully designed to support the neurodiverse community, individuals with PTSD, and people with special needs. Unlike a traditional Quiet Space, it offers an environment tailored to reduce sensory overload while providing tools to encourage relaxation and self-regulation.

Our Calmer Space features resources such as Lego, earplugs, stuffed animals, arts and crafts supplies, and fidget toys. These items are carefully chosen to help attendees recharge, self-regulate, and make the most of their convention experience.
