ABOUT THE AWARD:

The SI MoCCA Arts Festival Awards of Excellence recognizes the best in show, voted on by a
prestigious panel of judges during the Festival. Three judges will visit the Fest on Saturday, March 15th. They will be given a stipend and will be viewing and purchasing material from artist’s booths. The judges have been asked to choose their favorite 5 pieces (whether they be short form comics, long form comics, zines, single images, etc.), with the goal being to award up to 15 Best in Show works.

Winners will be announced on Saturday, March 15th, 2025.

2025 Winners will receive the following awards:

• A beautiful NEW MoCCA ribbon!

• The $100 financial prize, The M. Prize. The M. Prize was created in 2015 by Phillips Exeter Academy alumni.
  This prize is presented in M’s name to cartoonists for excellence in art, creative skill and originality. The award honors artist Timothy Patrick Moynihan.

• A pen tablet provided by our sponsor Xencelabs

• Winning entries will be included in an online gallery along with the artist’s contact information and links
  to portfolios.
